Fairbanks North Star Borough
Climate Action and Adaptation Plan
Climate Action and Adaptation Plan
PUBLIC WORK SESSION - Monday, October 10th, FNSB Assembly Chambers starting at 5:30pm
I’ve heard about the CAAP. How do I get involved?
Fairbanks North Star Borough is on the path to implementing its own Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP), and we need your help to bring it to fruition.
This work has been a long time coming, from roundtable conversation, unanimous community testimonies all in support of climate action, and Borough resolutions and task forces. With the steady work of groups like the Policy and Politics working group, laborers, teachers, organizers, and rad community folks, Fairbanks Borough residents can engage directly in creating a Climate Action and Adaptation plan we really need.
We’re teaming up with our friends Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition to ensure that Interior residents are informed and engaged throughout the entire process.
Who is involved:
RESPEC - consulting company that is drafting the CAAP
Assembly Climate Action Committee - supervises and works with RESPEC on the CAAP
Assembly Presiding Officer Mindy O'Neall - lead of the ACAC
Borough Mayor Bryce Ward
YOU! - borough resident who gives their feedback and engages with the CAAP Process
