The Alaska Center and The Alaska Center Education Fund seek an experienced, dedicated, and talented Communications Manager to help advance our vision of a thriving, just, and sustainable Alaska for current and future generations. Our Communications Manager will work with our youth engagement, advocacy, and political programs as well as our development and communications teams to engage, inspire, and galvanize thousands of Alaskans to take action on various issues and support leaders who share our vision. The ideal candidate will be eager to cultivate and grow our communications outreach and organization visibility and be skilled at utilizing creative social media and digital communications tools, have a keen eye for written detail and design, and understand the power of storytelling to connect with a diverse array of communities. The salary is $50k-60k depending on experience.

Anchorage Community Organizer
The Alaska Center is looking for a dedicated, and talented Community Organizer to help advance our vision for clean air and water, healthy communities, and a strong democracy. Our Community Organizers work alongside volunteers to engage, inspire, and galvanize thousands of Alaskans to take action on various issues and elect decision-makers who share our vision. The ideal candidate will have high social confidence, love working with people and growing relationships with volunteers and community leaders, be skilled at field organizing, and understand the importance of connecting with a diverse array of communities. This position works out of our Anchorage office, so candidates should be located in Anchorage or surrounding areas. The salary is $45,000 to $50,000 DOE

Summer 2021 Community Outreach Specialist: Multiple Positions Open
We are looking for passionate, socially confident, reliable individuals to be advocates and champions for issues of social justice and environmental conservation. Outreach Specialists work to maintain relationships with passionate action takers, identify new supporters, and encourage them to take action and vote. This position is based in Anchorage, and will primarily take place while going door-to-door in the Anchorage bowl area. Outreach Specialists will be using the Deep Canvassing model, which will include long, engaging conversations in an attempt to persuade and educate voters on these pressing issues. Pay $16 - $20 DOE
