Climate and Salmon Community Organizer

Location: Alaska (Hybrid). If in Southcentral, in-person office work is required two days per week.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $23.55 - $26.44 per hour

The Alaska Center seeks a motivated community connector to advance our Clean Energy for All and Salmon campaigns. This role is responsible for public outreach and engagement, volunteer recruitment and relationship building, planning and supporting community events, and driving Alaskans to take action on climate, clean energy, and salmon habitat protection. This role is focused on building relationships with volunteers to engage in our campaigns and become a part of our organization. The ideal candidate must love making connections and have the ability to find common ground with people of all backgrounds. Some evening and weekend work is essential for this role to reach community members and be present for community events.

Leadership Development Manager

Location: Alaska (if in Anchorage, in-person office work is required at least two days per week)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $63,000-68,000

The Alaska Center Education Fund seeks a passionate, community-minded, and dedicated individual to serve as our Leadership Development Program Manager. The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and running a leadership program to train and support the appointment of Alaskans who share our vision and who reflect the diversity of Alaska. The focus in recruitment will center on leaders who are underrepresented in leadership on Boards and Commissions, including BIPOC, low-income, young people, rural, women, and other communities. Creating a Just Transition to a locally-driven, sustainable economy requires shifting power to people who have historically been underrepresented, and this Boards and Commissions Program is focused on helping to meet that objective.
