The Alaska Center seeks to add a full-time Climate and Clean Energy Organizer or Program Manager to our team! Our staff works alongside volunteers to engage, inspire, and galvanize Alaskans to take action to help advance our vision for clean air and water, healthy communities, and a strong democracy. This position adds capacity to our “Clean Energy for All Alaskans” initiative that advances equitable climate policies, supports clean energy programs, defends against harmful legislation, and amplifies Alaskans’ voices in public processes around energy democracy - while centering those who are most impacted by climate change. Depending on the experience of the candidates, we will hire at the Organizer or Program Manager level for this position. This hybrid position requires in-person work; candidates should be located in Anchorage or surrounding areas.

salmon and Clean Water Organizer

The Alaska Center seeks to add a part-time Salmon and Clean Water Organizer to our team! Our Community Organizers work alongside volunteers to engage, inspire, and galvanize Alaskans to take action to help advance our vision for clean air and water, healthy communities, and a strong democracy. This position adds support to our salmon and clean water campaigns. The ideal candidate will love working with people and growing relationships with volunteers and community leaders, be skilled at community organizing, and understand the importance of connecting with people with diverse identities, abilities, perspectives, and experiences. This hybrid position requires in-person work; candidates should be located in Anchorage or surrounding areas.

Communications Manager

The Alaska Center and The Alaska Center Education Fund seek an experienced, dedicated, and talented Communications Manager to help advance our vision of a thriving, just, and sustainable Alaska for current and future generations. Our Communications Manager will work with our youth engagement, advocacy, and political programs as well as our development and communications teams to engage, inspire, and galvanize thousands of Alaskans to take action on various issues and support leaders who share our vision. The ideal candidate will be eager to cultivate and grow our communications outreach and organization visibility with volunteers and donors, be skilled at utilizing creative social media and digital communications tools, have a keen eye for written detail and design, and understand the power of storytelling to connect with a diverse array of communities.

This is a full-time position. While we have offices available in Anchorage, we are open to considering applicants from across the state.

Development Director

The Alaska Center seeks an enthusiastic and talented individual to serve as the Development Director. This position will develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy including major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations, special events, prospect research, stewardship, donor communications and planned giving. The Development Director supervises the Development Associate and supports the fundraising of the co-Executive Directors and the Board of Directors. The right candidate will be passionate about our mission and vision and understand the critical importance of engaging others to sustain our work.
