Moving Planet

Come join Alaska Center for the Environment, Sierra Club, and other local groups on September 24, 2011 for a Moving Planet rally to show our support for a healthy climate and sustainable solutions to fossil fuels!

Moving Planet is a worldwide rally to demand solutions to the climate crisis, and here in Anchorage ACE will help highlight the immediate threats of coal, oil and gas development, as well as local solutions to move Alaska beyond fossil fuels.

Meet at the Delany Park Strip at noon and enjoy a bike-ride, walk, or skate along the Coastal trail.  Along the way, there will be stops where participants can learn from area experts and activists about some of the resource development threats in Cook Inlet, and take action for local solutions.

The ride will end at the Sierra Club’s office parking lot at 750 W. 2nd Ave Ave for a family celebration and call to action.
