Alaskans knows that oil and water don't mix. BP's 2010 Gulf Spill brought back painful memories for many Alaskans of what happens when corporations play Russian roulette with our marine environment. Now, Shell seems to be setting the stage for the next major oil spill disaster as they prepare to begin their Arctic off-shore drilling project. Already Shell has shown that they are unable to comply with their air pollution permit and incapable of handling their ship in moderate seas.

That's why we need to come together to celebrate and protect our oceans. Join hands with ACE, Sierra Club and your neighbors as they celebrate the Hands Across the Sand Sunday, August 5th at 10:00am - 11:00am at the Kenai Peninsula Fair, Ninilchik, AK. Join us at 10am for a free breakfast!

Also, join ACE and the Sierra Club for pizza, drinks, and sign-making for this event Tuesday, July 21 at 5:30 at the Sierra Club office (750 W 2nd Ave # 100).
