2009 AK Rec&Parks Association Conference/Bike Summit

Are you interested in making Alaskan cities more bike friendly? The BCA along with other groups has organized the 2009 Alaska Bike Summit to be held April 23rd in Anchorage at the Hilton Hotel. This is a good opportunity to learn about what other cities are doing across the country and also what we can do in Alaska to improve quality of life for cyclists.

2009 Alaska Recreation & Parks Association Conference/Bike Summit

The 2009 Alaska Bike Summit aims to bring together bicycle advocates, planners, transportation staff, and anyone interested in bicycle transportation issues to learn about ongoing successful efforts across the United States to promote biking as well as share ideas and experiences here in Alaska. Organizers of the summit also hope to build strong relationships to further support the Alaska Bicycling Community.

The Bike Summit will take place April 23rd-25th, 2009 in Anchorage at the Hilton Hotel downtown
If you are interested in attending the first two days of the Bike Summit, which are a part of the Annual Alaska Recreation & Parks Association conference, please find more information (including an agenda) and registration  here.  The third day of the Summit is free and open to the public - please RSVP to Brian Litmans of the BCA at blitmans@gmail.com.
