The Alaska Center is looking to hire conservation canvassers on an ongoing, as-needed basis; and for the 2017 summer season. We are looking for outgoing, passionate individuals to reach out to the public to find new supporters. Canvassers work alongside Deputy Canvass Directors and the Canvass Director to interface with Alaskans on key conservation issues, with conversations taking place in person, over the phone, and at events. Our goal is to identify and activate supporters on various conservation campaigns that protect the Alaskan way of life. Duties include: Going door to door and making phone calls, educating Alaskans on a variety of timely issues.Salary is dependent on experience, and hours will vary. - Trailside Discovery Camp Director: The Alaska Center Education Fund seeks an enthusiastic and talented Director for our Trailside Discovery Camp. The mission of The Alaska Center Education Fund is to educate and empower Alaskans of all ages to support clean air and water, encourage healthy communities, and become engaged citizens. Trailside Discovery Camp provides a broad range of outdoor environmental education experiences for children and youth (4-16 years) from diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds in Southcentral Alaska.The Director will advance the mission of the Trailside Discovery Program through the development and management of programs, human resources, finances, marketing, and strategic operations.This position is available beginning in April 2017, and will remain open until filled. The incoming Director will work with the outgoing Director during the summer of 2017, and serve in initial capacity of Associate Director while learning about camp operations and becoming oriented to the program.To apply, email your resume and cover letter to email@example.com.
